Health studies includes a number of branches that focus on both human and animal health, conducting research as well as teaching to develop qualified health personnel who understand the human or animal bodies and can contribute to medical advancements, treatments and the care of the ill. The research concentrates on microbiology, chemistry and physics as well as social science.

To best support these endeavors, Chulalongkorn University has established a number of faculties in health science including Medicine, Dentistry, Allied Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Psychology and Veterinary Medicine as well as the School of Sports Science . The university has also has many laboratories equipped with the latest technology to ensure students receive the very highest international standard education and training.

To serve the community as well as conduct research and train professionals, Chulalongkorn University has established institutes and colleges such as the Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Environmental Institute, Social Research Institute and College of Public Health .
