Committed to research development, Chulalongkorn University has adopted a policy to promote and support research across the spectrum. Grants are made available through the Ratchadapisek Somphot Fund as well as more than 15 other foundations. Researchers are given the support and freedom they require to pursue their work at the highest standards with long-term funding. There are also funds available to new faculty members and researchers to pursue their studies. The university also supports hosting national and international meetings as well as the publication of work in international journals.

Furthermore, support is provided for development of research agencies and specialized centers including their staff to improve operations to meet the highest standards. Their findings can then be applied to advancing academics and further research that can also support Thai industry and the private sector. At the same time, assistance is provided to register property rights and patents.
