The Central Library, or the Office of Academic Resources, Chulalongkorn University, is the university’s main learning resource, providing access to academic books, general books, and online databases covering a wide range of disciplines. Within its facilities, there are quiet reading zones, group work zones, and research areas. In addition, during exam periods, the Central Library will be open 24 hours a day to facilitate students’ access to study and prepare for exams continuously, ideal for those who want complete focus and learning resources all in one place.

Learning Space and Learning Commons
Learning spaces in Chulalongkorn University’s existing and newer buildings include: Law Chula Learning Space, CUNEX international lounge, Self-Learning Center (SALC), PLEARN Space, Psyche Space, and Chula UltimateX Library. Designed as flexible digital co-learning and working spaces, these facilities allow students to read, work, present, or participate in group activities. They are typically equipped with amenities such as desks, power outlets, and wireless internet access.

It is the first unmanned library in Thailand, with controlled opening and closing.–The library is closed via the internet, security is maintained through the computer system, and borrowing activities are taking place.–Books can be returned via an automated machine. Facilities include WiFi, computers, and power outlets, making it an ideal place to relax and read. This location also houses a large collection of research papers. Users must verify their identity with a student/staff ID or CU-NEX card. External visitors should use their national ID card to scan a QR code.

Creative Space and CU Innovation Hub
Creative spaces like the CU Innovation Hub are open areas for developing new ideas, working on projects, or collaborating in an informal atmosphere. They are ideal for students who need a space to brainstorm, experiment, and further develop their creative ideas.
Common space within the faculty and academic buildings.
Common spaces, such as faculty lobbies, ground floor areas of academic buildings, or open spaces within buildings, are another popular option for students. These spaces can be used freely for reading, doing homework, meeting friends for projects, or simply relaxing in a comfortable atmosphere while waiting for classes.
Creative and recreational space.
Chulalongkorn University has museums and art spaces open to students for viewing and learning. Besides being sources of knowledge, they also provide spaces for inspiration and a change of pace from daily study, such as the Chulalongkorn University Museum and the specialized museums of various faculties, Chulalongkorn University Archives, Dhamma Center Library etc., including the art exhibition space of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, which hosts exhibitions continuously throughout the year.
Green spaces surrounding academic buildings and the library, such as patios and benches under trees, provide areas for relaxation, light reading, or unwinding amidst a shady atmosphere in the heart of the university.
