Student from the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, Wins First Place in the University Level AEON 1% Club Japanese Speech Contest 2024  

Chulalongkorn University congratulates Ms. Chalisa Leenawat, a first-year student from the Faculty of Arts, for winning the first prize in the AEON 1% Club Japanese Speech Contest 2024 at the university level. The contest was recently held at the AEON Theatre @ Quartier. Ms. Chalisa was selected as one of the five students from Thailand to compete in the AEON Nihongo Speech Contest (Japan) 2024, which will take place in Japan in January 2025. 

The AEON 1% Club Foundation, in collaboration with the AEON Thailand Foundation, organized the first AEON Nihongo Speech Contest in Thailand to provide an opportunity for higher education students with Japanese language skills to develop their abilities through speech contests, as well as promote learning and enhance understanding of Japan. Five students were selected to represent Thailand in the international AEON Nihongo Speech Contest (Japan) 2024. Participants in the competition came from six countries: China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Thailand.
