Chula–NUS Join Forces to Discuss the Next Generation of Science Communicators

On Friday, October 31, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanasin Chutintaranond, Assistant to the President of Chulalongkorn University, together with Prof. Dr. Pranut Potiyaraj, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vithaya Kulsomboon, advisor to the Regional Learning Network Center; Asst. Prof. Dr. Noppadol Kitna, Director of the Regional Learning Network Center; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuta Supakata, from the Department of Environmental Science, met with faculty members from the National University of Singapore (NUS) — Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lee Kooi Cheng, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kah Loon Ng, and Dr. Misty Cook — to discuss collaborative activities for the 2308341 Science Communication course to be offered in the second semester of the 2025 academic year at the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University.
The “Science Communication” course focuses on analyzing the roles and methods of science communication, along with the techniques and strategies for using various media to effectively communicate scientific knowledge. The course also includes practical training for students to become science communicators through project-based learning. It combines lectures, discussions, and group work, including field activities in Saraburi Province.
In the upcoming semester, Chulalongkorn University will collaborate with the National University of Singapore (NUS) to organize joint community engagement activities both in Bangkok (Chulalongkorn University campus) and Saraburi Province.
