หลักสูตรครุศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาการสอนภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาต่างประเทศ (หลักสูตรนานาชาติ)

TELF degree holders can work in both public and private institutes, organizations and agencies in various positions, such as

• English instructors in schools or higher education,
• Educational researchers,
• Curriculum developers,
• Instructional material developers,
• Language trainers, and
• Program managers.

The program offers two plans of study to suit different backgrounds and needs of our students:

• Plan B (Coursework and Thesis): Students are required to take 36 credit hours of courses and produce a thesis;
• Plan C (Coursework and Master Project):  Students are required to take 33 credit hours of courses and conduct a three-credit-hour, research-based master project. Also, students in this plan must pass a comprehensive exam as a requirement for graduation.

Students have up to four academic years from the date of entry into the program to complete all the requirements. For the thesis plan of study, students’ research proposals must be approved within the first two academic years after entering the program. Please refer to our website for more details

Qualifications of applicants

Plan B ( Coursework and Thesis)

• Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), or Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts (B.A.) majoring in English;
• GPA of no less than 2.75 or 1 year of teaching experience; and
• TOEFL score of at least 525 or 6 on the IELTS or 75 on the CU-TEP (or equivalent)

Plan C (Coursework and Master Project)

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) majoring in English or 2 years of teaching experiences in basic education or higher education instructions;
• GPA of no less than 2.75 or have at least one year of teaching experience; and
•  TOEFL score of at least 525 or 6 on the IELTS or 75 on the CU-TEP (or equivalent)

Application

In general, the application is open two rounds in a year. The first-semester admission starts from around February to March. The second-semester admission is in September. Please refer to our website for more details on application requirements, procedures, schedules, and up-to-date information.

1. Applicants are required to follow the admission procedures and mail in the completed application form and required documents to the Division of Foreign Language Teaching, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University.
2. Eligible candidates will then be called for an interview. Names of the eligible candidates and interview schedules will be announced on our website.

Academic Calendar Year:

The program operates on a semester basis:

• First semester: August – December;
• Second semester: January – May.
