Chulalongkorn University places great importance on the health and physical fitness of its students, providing appropriate sports facilities and amenities encompassing exercise, training, and various sports activities.
Physical Health Care
Chulalongkorn University Sports Center is a key sports and health infrastructure component of the university, serving as a systematic hub for exercise, training, and sports competitions. The entire facility is developed for practical use, encompassing both outdoor fields and standard indoor sports buildings, supporting a wide variety of sports activities, from daily exercise to training and international-level competitions.
Exercise Area
Chulalongkorn University Sports Center provides comprehensive sports facilities and amenities to support health and fitness activities, training, and recreational activities for students and staff within the university grounds.
The complex houses various indoor sports facilities, including basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and sepak takraw courts, as well as areas for judo, boxing, and gymnastics. There is also a multi-purpose indoor sports building, the CU Sports Complex, which features badminton courts, a 50-meter swimming pool, and a large fitness center.
In addition, there is a standard swimming pool, a fitness center, and various outdoor exercise areas, including Chulalongkorn University sports field (Chula Stadium), tennis courts, a driving range, a putting green, beach volleyball courts, a mini-football field, a petanque court, and an outdoor fitness zone.
The Chalermrajakumari Sports Complex (CU Sports Complex) is the main sports center of Chulalongkorn University and one of the most well-equipped university sports facilities in the country. The building houses standard sports fields and facilities in one place, supporting training and competitions for a wide variety of sports simultaneously.
Key features include a 50-meter competition-standard swimming pool with training lanes, badminton courts, a large fitness center, and a multi-purpose sports field, which are actually used for teaching, training, and hosting university-level sports competitions.
Chulalongkorn University Stadium, or “Chula Stadium,” is a large outdoor sports arena comprising a football field, athletics track, and surrounding grandstands, capable of accommodating a large number of spectators. It is equipped with standard facilities and lighting systems.
This stadium is used for teaching, training student athletes, and hosting sporting competitions. It has also been the main venue for the Thailand University Games and the home stadium of Chulalongkorn United Football Club.

The Thephahadin Stadium is a large outdoor sports stadium providing space for exercise and sporting events for Chulalongkorn University. Managed by the Property Management Office of Chulalongkorn University (PMCU), it features a standard running track surrounding a wide grassy area, suitable for both training and competitions of various sports. It has a total seating capacity of 6,378.
The Thep Hatsadin Stadium can be used for teaching activities, student training, and university-level sports competitions, as well as being an open space for physical exercise for staff and citizens.

Free walking and running sessions are available, divided into two rounds:
- Morning session 05.00 AM – 10.00 AM
- Evening session 05.00 PM – 10.00 PM
This stadium was built in preparation for the 5th Asian Games in 1966. Currently, the Chulalongkorn University Sports Center (CU Sports Center) manages and operates the building for various sports activities. Located within the university’s academic district, it serves as a training and skills learning ground for futsal and handball, as well as hosting sporting events and various activities for students and the general public.

The National Stadium, also known as Supachalasai Stadium, is a historic stadium in the heart of Bangkok. With a capacity of approximately 19,793 seats, it is managed by the Department of Physical Education and is one of Thailand’s main stadiums, playing a significant role at both national and university levels. It is notable for its large grandstand structure surrounding the football field and standard running track, making it suitable for hosting large-scale sporting events and activities.
This stadium has consistently been used as a venue for major sporting events, both national and international, as well as Chulalongkorn University activities such as sports competitions, ceremonies, and student solidarity events, reflecting its role as a central hub for the movement and energy of the younger generation.
The area within the stadium is open to the public for free for running and walking exercise.

The facility features 10 hard court tennis courts, all equipped with court lighting, a practice court (knockboard), a clubhouse, a restaurant, and other pleasant and beautiful recreational amenities.

The 50-meter swimming pool
The 50-meter swimming pool at Chulalongkorn University is a standard-sized outdoor pool with 10 lanes and a depth of 2.5 meters. It is open to faculty, students, and the general public.

- On Saturdays, we are open from 9.00 AM – 6.00 PM.

The 25-meter outdoor swimming pool
The 25-meter outdoor swimming pool is a sloping pool measuring 16 x 25 meters, with a shallowest point of 1.10 meters and a deepest point of 1.30 meters. It has 6 lanes and is for members only. This pool is ideal for beginners learning to swim and for health and fitness.
In addition, Chulalongkorn University’s Sports Center also provides swimming lessons for youth and those interested at the 25-meter swimming pool.

TThere are a total of 16 petanque courts, available to use for students, faculty, staff, and pupils of Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School.

This facility is designed to serve two purposes in a single area, usable as a beach volleyball court and a golf driving range.

Indoor Sports Complex 1 is a multi-purpose indoor sports building with a floor area of 4,100 square meters. It can accommodate various sports such as sepak takraw, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, judo, boxing, gymnastics, and others. The open space behind the indoor sports complex is a golf driving range, while the area in front of Indoor Sports Complex 1 is a putting green, providing both functional benefits and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the building’s facade.

Originally a multi-purpose gymnasium with parquet flooring, used for specific purposes such as special events/competitions and sports training, now it has been converted into a table tennis court with 10 tables.

Most sports fields and exercise areas at Chulalongkorn University Sports Center require advance booking through an online system before using the service to ensure systematic operation and adequate support for users.
Users must check the availability schedule, select a time slot, and confirm their booking through the system themselves. The system is open for bookings daily from 09:00 to 23:59.
Projects and Programs to Promote Exercise.
It’s a fitness program that everyone can participate in. It’s a cardio workout using Zumba dance, which is fun, challenging, and promotes good health.

Chulalongkorn University’s Sports Center is organizing the “Healthy and Happy with Yoga” project, which is a form of exercise.
Stretching increases the range of motion in the joints, promoting good health, reducing injuries, and also serving as breathing exercises.
Every Tuesday and Friday, from 5.15 PM – 6.15 PM, at the Aerobics Dance Room, Fitness Center, 2nd floor, Chalermrajakumari Sports Complex (CU Sports Complex), Chulalongkorn University.

The Chulalongkorn University Sports Center is not just a place to provide sports facilities; it also systematically organizes ongoing programs and activities to promote exercise, supporting students and staff in maintaining their health in a way that suits their lifestyles.
The program encompasses general health-focused exercises such as walking and running, as well as group activities that build physical strength, and specialized training programs designed by sports science experts. These include weight training, fitness enhancement, and targeted exercise plans, all with close guidance and support from trainers and mentors.
In addition, there are a variety of fitness classes and workshops, such as wellness dance classes like Zumba, Muay Thai aerobics, and yoga, as well as group fitness activities and educational sessions on body care and injury prevention, to promote correct understanding and long-term well-being.
