Campus Security & Safety

Chulalongkorn University prioritizes the safety of its students at every stage of their time on campus. This includes everything from space design and building systems to the environment, care, and preparation, ensuring students can learn, live, and participate in activities with confidence.
Maintenance of areas and building systems
The university grounds are continuously maintained in terms of structure and environment, including lighting systems, pathways, academic buildings, and common areas, to ensure the safety and comfort of students’ daily lives.

The university has installed building safety systems, such as detection equipment and emergency alarm systems, along with guidelines for building use that meet standards, and conducts emergency response drills, such as fire evacuation in academic and residential buildings, to ensure safe use of the spaces.
University security system
The university maintains 24-hour security with security personnel stationed at key locations throughout the campus. A closed-circuit television (CCTV) system is installed within buildings and public areas to ensure order and provide peace of mind to students on campus. Security management focuses on both preventative and systemic measures to allow students to participate appropriately in both on-campus and off-campus activities.
Responding to emergencies
