Cholatassathan Museum, located within the Chutathut Royal Palace on Koh Si Chang, was established to showcase the marine environment and natural resources of the surrounding archipelago.

The museum’s concept is linked to King Chulalongkorn, creating a significant historical exhibition with a connection to the monarchy. Through its nine exhibition zones, the museum educates visitors about marine natural history, local ecosystems, and the importance of environmental conservation. These exhibits highlight the diverse marine life and ecosystems found around Koh Si Chang. 

Our Services

The  Cholatassathan Museum serves as an educational resource on the sea and natural resources surrounding Koh Si Chang. Its exhibitions and activities integrate science, history, and conservation to enhance visitors’ understanding of marine ecosystems and the importance of sustainable resource use. The museum offers a variety of experiences, including: 

  • Exhibits on the diverse marine ecosystems and life around Koh Si Chang. 
  • An exhibition zone honoring His Majesty the King’s work with water resources. 
  • An interactive touch tank for up-close encounters with marine creatures. 
  • Educational displays on conservation and sustainable practices.

Opening Hours

  • Tuesday to Sunday and public holidays 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Free admission. No advance reservation required.
