About

The Herbs Museum at Chulalongkorn University serves as a repository of knowledge on medicinal plants and traditional Thai medicine. It was established to conserve, study, and disseminate knowledge about the diverse plants used in medicine, food, and healthcare.

The museum’s exhibits provide a comprehensive look into the world of herbal medicine, featuring:

  • Plant Specimens: Displays of both dried and fresh medicinal plants, complete with educational materials on their unique properties.
  • Traditional Knowledge: Detailed exhibits on traditional Thai herbal recipes and the rich history of their use in Thai culture.
  • Modern Applications: Information on the important role medicinal plants continue to play in modern scientific research and healthcare.

Our Services

The Herbs Museum serves as an educational resource on herbal and traditional Thai medicine for university students, researchers, and the general public. It offers a wide range of exhibits and services designed to deepen understanding of medicinal botany.

Visitors can explore:

Opening Hours

  • Thursday 09:00 AM – 12:00 PM, except for public holidays.
  • Free admission. No advance reservation required.
