Chula Welcomes Executives from the Institute of Science Tokyo to Discuss Academic Collaboration

Associate Professor Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Vice President for International Affairs and Global Network at Chulalongkorn University, recently welcomed Professor Dr. Jun-ichi Takada, Executive Vice President for Global Affairs, along with a delegation of executives and representatives from the Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan, on January 27, 2026. The meeting was held at the 18th-floor conference room of the Chalermrajkumari 60th Anniversary Building (Chamchuri 10). 

The purpose of this visit was to discuss future academic collaboration between Chulalongkorn University and the Institute of Science, Tokyo. Proposed areas of cooperation included full-time and semester-based student exchange programs at the university level, research funding support, and the joint organization of academic conferences. 

On this occasion, Professor Dr. Jun-ichi Takada shared information about the Institute of Science Tokyo’s visionary framework, which focuses on creating societal impact through academic and research activities. Both institutions expressed their commitment to further strengthen their strong and positive relationship.
