Chula Strengthens Academic Collaboration with Tsinghua SIGS

A delegation from Chulalongkorn University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Vice President, visited Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS) on February 25, 2026, in Shenzhen, People’s Republic of China. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Zuo Jian’e, Vice Dean of Tsinghua SIGS, along with faculty members from various research institutes. Also joining the visit were Asst. Prof. Dr. Tewarit Sarachana, Assistant to the President, as well as deans and representatives from Chula’s faculties, colleges, offices, and institutes.

During the visit, both sides exchanged views on potential collaboration across a wide range of disciplines, including humanities and arts, biological sciences, physical sciences, and social sciences. Discussions focused on advancing joint research initiatives, promoting academic exchanges, and establishing frameworks for future cooperation to foster long-term institutional partnerships between the two universities.
On this occasion, the Chulalongkorn University delegation also toured Tsinghua SIGS laboratories, showcasing the school’s research infrastructure and ongoing research projects. These facilities and initiatives will serve as a vital foundation for expanding academic and research collaboration between the two institutions in the future.
