Chula Discusses Collaboration with PolyU to Advance Leadership and Community Development Programs

On February 23, 2026, the Social Research Institute of Chulalongkorn University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Unruan Leknoi, Director of the Institute, held a discussion on academic collaboration with Prof. Kaye Chon, Dean of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.

The meeting was held to exchange perspectives and further strengthen the partnership previously initiated between the Social Research Institute of Chulalongkorn University and PolyU. The collaboration focused on developing future training programs for executives and local communities.


The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is recognized as one of the world’s leading universities. Its School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) is acknowledged as a premier institution in Hong Kong and has consistently been ranked No. 1 in the world by the Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (2024–2025).
Following the discussions, the Social Research Institute of Chulalongkorn University will further develop the outcomes into new programs designed to enhance leadership and community capacity in the context of today’s global landscape.
