Bangkok, Thailand — The Institute of Asian Studies at Chulalongkorn University will host an international symposium titled “Thailand and Central Asia: Forging Sustainable Connectivity and New Partnerships in a Dynamic Eurasia” on April 29–30, 2026, at the Social Innovation Hub, Visid Prachuabmoh Building, Chulalongkorn University.

As Central Asia’s role continues to grow as a strategic hub for global trade, energy, and geopolitics, the symposium will convene diplomats, policymakers, academics, and business leaders from across regions to exchange perspectives and explore new avenues for cooperation between Thailand and the broader Eurasian region.

The program will feature high-level dialogues and academic sessions led by international experts, addressing key issues in economics, politics, and international collaboration. The event will also include an opening ceremony marking the official establishment of the Central Asian Studies Centre (CASC), which is expected to serve as a key platform for advancing knowledge, informing policy, and strengthening international cooperation networks.

This event marks a significant step in enhancing Thailand’s engagement on the global stage and fostering long-term partnerships with Central Asia.
