QS World University Rankings 2018 Lists CU as Top in Thailand and Top 50 in Asia

According to the QS World University Rankings 2018 released on 28 February 2018, Chulalongkorn University was ranked as the top university in Thailand and listed in the top 50 Universities in Asia. The University has been named top in the country for five consecutive years and its overall world ranking has jumped from last year’s 252

Six key indicators were used in the rankings, including Academic reputation (40%), Employer reputation (10%), Faculty/Student Ratio (20%), Citations per faculty (20%), and International faculty ratio/International student ratio (5% each). Broken down by subjects, Chulalongkorn University ranked higher in three areas, including Social Sciences and Management, Engineering and Technology, and Arts and Humanities.
