Chulalongkorn University has partnered with Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. to set up Ha:mo, the campus electric vehicle (EV) sharing system. Using compact electric vehicles provided by Toyota, the project aims to provide convenient and seamless connections to nearby public transportation, such as the sky train, subway, and bus. The system services students, professors, staff and the general public. The two-year-long project was launched on 1 December 2017 and now includes 10 cars. The plan is to increase the number of vehicles to 30 cars by mid-2018. The system will cover both sides of the CU campus with 12 parking stations, 33 parking spaces and 10 charging stations. The EV sharing system will become a model for future car-sharing systems in the city.

A driver’s license, credit or debit card and 100 Baht registration fee is required. If an IC Card is needed, the additional fee is 110 Baht.
