The center provides testing service to the public and high school students for a variety of fields, including English (CU-TEP), science (CU-ATS), and design (CU-TAD).  Another role is to cooperate with the National Institute of Educational Testing Service, or NIETS, in the selection of high school graduates for direct admission into the university and the testing of O-NET and GAT/PAT.
