The First Lunch Talk: Net Zero Emission

The Office of Research Affairs at Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with Chula Unisearch, co-organized a seminar on “The First Lunch Talk: Fundamental and Outlook of Energy Management Systems toward Net Zero Emission” on June 6, 2023, at Chula Naruemit House. Prof.Dr. Chakkaphan Sutthirat, Vice President for Research Affairs, gave the welcome and opening remarks. 

During the talk, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Naebboon Hoonchareon, from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, shared his thoughts on energy management strategies to achieve zero emissions in line with the goal of sustainable and achievable Net Zero Emission. Prof. Dr. Chanathip Pharino, Assistant Vice President for Research Affairs, discussed the ‘Chula Net Zero Research & Innovation platform’ project, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the use of renewable energy. 

The “Research Skills Development Project to Improving the Net Zero Strategic Research Network” is one of the strategic research projects focused on developing policy proposals to transition to a net zero carbon emission economy and society. By developing and understanding the cooperation needed between the industrial sector, the public sector, and civil society, specialized knowledge to address research and development needs can have a significant and sustainable impact.
