This public forum was organized to present the research on “Building a Thailand-China Community with a Shared Future,” conducted by the Chinese Studies Center, Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University, and funded by the Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in The Kingdom of Thailand. The research by the Chinese Studies Center titled “Building a Thailand-China Community with a Shared Future” is a review and overview of the history of Thai – Chinese international relations from the past to the present, covering politics, economics, society, culture, education, science and technology, humanitarian assistance, and regional cooperation between the two countries. The research focuses on President Xi Jinping’s vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind, which consists of four aspects: shared interests, shared responsibilities, shared development, and shared understanding. The researchers explored how these visions can enhance Thailand-China relations at all levels and dimensions, especially as both countries approach the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties in 2025.

Chula’s encouragement and support for research is excellent for teachers, students, and the public.
