The 24th International Public Health Sciences Conference: ‘Public Health 360 – From Policy to Practice

The College of Public Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with Hasanuddin University, Indonesia, and Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania, organized the 24th International Conference of Public Health Sciences under the theme “Public Health 360: From Policy to Practice” on October 8, 2024, at the Mandarin Ballroom, Mandarin Hotel, Bangkok. The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of the Chulalongkorn University Council, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siridej Sujiva, Acting Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, delivering the welcome speech to the participants.

The International Public Health Sciences Conference (The 24th International Conference of Public Health Sciences) “Public Health 360: From Policy to Practice” was held to disseminate knowledge and research related to public health and public health sciences, while fostering collaboration with universities both locally and internationally. The conference also provided a platform for the exchange of academic knowledge and research findings between medical professionals, public health scholars, healthcare personnel, researchers, students, and interested participants, with the goal of applying this knowledge to societal development for sustainable growth both domestically and globally.
The event featured the 21st, Emeritus Professor Dr. Charas Suwanwela, academic seminars by expert speakers, and the presentation of research awards in areas such as substance abuse, alcohol, and AIDS, funded by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vichai Poshyachinda. Awards for traditional medicine research, funded by His Royal Highness Prince Vongsathiratchaseni, and the Outstanding Researcher Award from the College of Public Health Sciences, funded by Emeritus Professor Dr. Charas Suwanwela, were also presented, along with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the College of Public Health Sciences. Oral and poster research presentations took place, with over 200 researchers, policymakers, and public health experts from around the world attending the event.
