Join Us for the program on “Interactive Training and Gaming Simulation for Green Transition” 

The Sustainable Environment Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the Department of Geography, Seoul National University, invites you to participate in the “Interactive Training and Gaming Simulation for Green Transition” program. 

The program will take place on January 7, 2025, from 09:00 to 12:00 hrs. at the Setthamanit-Waree Room, 15th Floor, Sabbasastravicaya Building, Chulalongkorn University. 

This training program aims to enhance knowledge and develop skills for transitioning towards sustainability within a local context. It emphasizes experiential learning through workshops and simulation games, providing deeper insights into concepts and practices related to carbon reduction in rural areas and coastal communities across Southeast Asia. 

Participation is free of charge, and all attendees will receive a certificate of completion issued by the Sustainable Environment Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University. 

09:00 – 09:30 hrs. Registration and Opening Remarks 
09:30 – 10:15 hrs. Lecture: “Towards Local Just Transitions in Southeast Asia’s Rural and Coastal Spaces: A Case Study of the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam” 
Speaker: Prof. Edo Andriesse, Professor of Development Geography, Seoul National University 
10:30 – 12:00 hrs. Case Sharing: “Practice of Local Transitions in Nan Low Carbon Tourism, Thailand” 
Speaker: Dr. Puntita Tanwattana, Professional Level Researcher, Sustainable Environment Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University 
Workshop: “Gaming Simulation for Low Carbon Transition” 
Facilitator: Puntita Tanwattana, Professional Researcher, Sustainable Environment Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University 

This event is a must-attend for academics, policymakers, and practitioners dedicated to sustainability and low-carbon development. 

  • Please bring your reusable water bottle to help reduce waste and stay hydrated during the event.
  • Parking: No parking is available on the premises. The closest parking is at the Wittayakit Building, Siam Square (paid parking). The most convenient access is via BTS Siam Station.
