Teaching and Learning Arrangements During the PM2.5 Air Pollution Situation (January 27–31, 2025)

Measures to Address the PM2.5 Situation during January 27-31, 2025

As per the memorandum No. MHESI 64/0068, dated January 22, 2025, regarding guidelines to address the PM2.5 situation, all the faculties, schools, institutes are requested to implement the specified measures.

Given the ongoing PM2.5 air pollution, which continues to impact the health of students and staff, Chulalongkorn University has reviewed the situation and requests all academic units to proceed with the following measures during January 27-31, 2025:

  1. Online or Hybrid Learning:
    Conduct classes online or in a hybrid format for all levels of study. The decision is at the discretion of the course instructor and must be approved by the unit heads.
  2. Avoid Outdoor Activities:
    Refrain from organizing outdoor activities or classes.
  3. Mask Recommendations:
    Advise students to wear masks that effectively filter PM2.5 particles.
  4. Health Monitoring:
    If students experience any health issues due to PM2.5 exposure, departments should direct them to seek medical attention at the Chulalongkorn University Health Service Center or other healthcare facilities promptly.
  5. For Demonstration School Students:
    Classes for students at Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School (both primary and secondary levels) must be conducted online.
