Call for Applications: Chula Media Fellowship Program for 2025

The International Communication Division of the Chulalongkorn University Communication Center (CCC) is accepting applications from journalists at international news agencies to participate in the Chula Media Fellowship program.

The objective is to build a network of foreign media and promote good relations between foreign media and Chulalongkorn University. This will be achieved by offering foreign journalists the opportunity to study at Chulalongkorn University, exchange experiences, and gain in-depth knowledge on topics related to Thainess, Thai society, and culture, as well as issues related to the university’s academics, innovation, and research, alongside insights into Chula students and their lifestyles. This aligns with the university’s strategy to promote lifelong learning and sustainability.

The project will take place at Chulalongkorn University and will last for six (6) months, beginning from the start of the studies.

Four (4) foreign journalists (non-Thai citizens) affiliated with a foreign news agency.

Applications are accepted twice a year:

  1. The first round: From now until December 15, 2024. (Closed)
The fellowship program will commence in January and last until June 2025.
  2. The second round: From May 1 until July 15, 2025.
The fellowship program will commence in August 2025 and last until January 2026.

Those wishing to apply for the fellowship must submit the following documents, completed entirely in English:

  1. Supervisor Acknowledgement Form
  2. CV
  3. An introduction letter, including the course(s) they are interested in taking and the topics that could potentially be covered as a news scoop in Thailand.
