Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of Chulalongkorn University Council, stated that since Chulalongkorn University has established the Yunus-Chulalongkorn Social Business Center, this meeting has therefore led to an invitation for the Bangladesh leader to participate in an international seminar on social business, which the center will organize this September.
Professor Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize-winning economist, is the founder of the social business concept. He has established the Yunus Foundation and Yunus Center, a leading global organization for social development.
In 2024, Chulalongkorn University’s Social Research Institute signed a cooperation agreement with the Yunus Center, aiming to create change and drive Thai society toward a sustainable future, focusing on pooling knowledge, experience, and resources from both organizations to jointly drive projects and activities.

The sense of kinship and warmth found in the Chula community is priceless and a treasure worth keeping.
