On April 11, 2025, Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, welcomed a delegation from the Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan, led by Prof. Naoto Ohtake, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer. Also present were Chulalongkorn University’s vice presidents and executives from the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, the Faculty of Dentistry, and the Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (CSII).
During the meeting, the Chulalongkorn University President, university executives, and representatives from the Institute of Science Tokyo discussed collaborative opportunities in research between the two institutions. The discussion focused on areas such as health, aging populations, artificial intelligence (AI), and social enterprises. Both parties agreed to continue discussions on an action plan to expand their research cooperation.
The Institute of Science Tokyo was established on October 1, 2024, through the merger of Tokyo Medical and Dental University. Its mission is to advance science and human well-being, aiming to create value and foster greater collaboration with society.
