Chula Student Wins Best Poster Award at International Conference in Malaysia

Thanyaporn Limkriangkrai, a student in the Master of Arts in Music Therapy Program (Interdisciplinary/International Program) from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University, received one of the Best Poster Awards at the 16th Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Conference, held from April 23–26, 2025, in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. Her research was selected from a total of 342 posters, with only six awarded.

Titled “Individualized Music Therapy Interventions for Symptom Relief in Palliative Care: A Pilot Project Assessing ESAS and Additional Outcomes,” her award-winning research was selected for presentation at the conference.
The project was supervised by Dr. Jin Hyung Lee, a faculty member of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University, and Dr. Suthida Suwanvecho, a specialist in oncology, hematology, and palliative care from Horizon Cancer Center, Bumrungrad International Hospital.


This research, which received the Best Poster Award, reflects the collaborative effort between the Graduate School of Chulalongkorn University, Bumrungrad International Hospital, and the Master of Arts in Music Therapy Program (Interdisciplinary/International Program), Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University. The project was conducted under the Hi-FI (Higher Education for Industry) Network Initiative during 2023–2025.
