ICESML 2025: Chula Leads Dialogue on AI-Driven Educational System Management

The Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, hosted the 4th International Conference on Educational System Management Leadership (ICESML 2025) under the theme “Shaping the Future Leadership and AI in Educational System Management” on May 23, 2025, at the Duangduen Phisanbutr Conference Room, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. The conference was officially opened by Pol. Gen. Permpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education. The welcome speech and conference report were delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yotsawee Saifah, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University.


Pol. Gen. Permpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education, stated that education is currently undergoing rapid transformation, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) playing a key role in driving changes across various dimensions. This international conference serves as a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences, inspiring new ideas, and shaping future educational leadership. The conference provides participants with the opportunity to gain insights that contribute to personal development and the enhancement of future student learning outcomes. It aligns with the Thai Ministry of Education’s policy, “Quality Learning, Happy Learning”, emphasizing learner-centered education accessible anywhere, anytime, integrating AI into teaching, learning management, and educational administration systems to reduce inequality and empower school leaders and teachers with knowledge in education management, thereby nurturing future-ready leaders who are AI-literate, critical thinkers, and effective practitioners.

Since 2022, the International Conference on Educational System Management Leadership (ICESML) has been organized by the Educational System Management Leadership Program under the Department of Policy, Management, and Educational Leadership, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. The goal is to foster knowledge exchange among educators, faculty, staff from various institutions, students, and interested individuals both domestically and internationally. The conference emphasizes a deeper understanding of educational management concepts and current and future policy formation, contributing to the development of academic knowledge and practical approaches that will lead to future collaborations and advancement in the field.
Following the success and positive response of previous conferences, which drew strong interest from students, researchers, and international participants, the 4th edition of the conference is being held this year from May 23–24 at the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. Over 300 participants from 22 countries around the world are attending.

Key highlights of the event include special lectures such as:
“Collaborative Design for AI and Education: Shaping a Future of Participation, Equity, and Inclusion Education” by Assoc. Prof. Jeremy Knox, Ph.D., from the University of Oxford.
“AI Literacy and Policy in Education” by Prof. Cecilia K. Y. Chan from The University of Hong Kong.
Additionally, there are 32 academic presentations, including both oral and poster presentations.
