Chulalongkorn University has soared to the Top 44 in the world and has once again secured the No.1 position among Thai universities, according to the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025. The university was recognized for its outstanding contributions to supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and creating significant social impact. Notably, Chulalongkorn achieved the No.1 ranking in ASEAN for SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, with an impressive score of 99.7 out of 100.
The THE Impact Rankings 2025 evaluate universities based on their research, operations, community engagement, and teaching that contribute to the UN’s SDGs. This year, 2,526 universities worldwide participated in the rankings.
In addition to its exceptional performance in SDG 9, Chulalongkorn also ranked among the Top 5 globally for SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, and the Top 20 globally for SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, among others.
Chulalongkorn’s consistent achievement of being ranked among the world’s top universities and retaining the No.1 spot in Thailand underscores its excellence in sustainability and its positive social impact. It also reflects the university’s firm commitment to advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals — a mission that Chulalongkorn has continuously pursued.
