Chula Dentistry and Engineering Professors and Students Win the JDIE Grand Prize at the 2025 Japan Design, Idea, and Invention Expo in Japan

Congratulations to our Professors and students from the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Engineering for winning the JDIE Grand Prize, the highest award presented by the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA) at the “2025 Japan Design, Idea, and Invention Expo (JDIE 2025).” Their innovation, titled “A Novel Tongue Pressure Measurement Instrument: Chulalongkorn University Prototype Tongue Pressure Instrument (CUPTI),” was recognized as the most outstanding innovation at the event.


On this occasion, Professor Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, joined in recognizing the faculty and students on this remarkable achievement.
In addition to the Grand Prize, the innovation also received a Gold Medal from WIIPA and the NRCT Special Award from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).

The Japan Design, Idea, and Invention Expo (JDIE 2025) is a prestigious international platform for showcasing research, inventions, and innovations from around the world. The event was held from July 5–6, 2025, in Tokyo, Japan, with 366 entries from 25 countries participating in the competition.
