The signing of this MOU continues the long-term cooperation on organizing national and international academic conferences on communication that has already entered its 9th year. The MOU aims to develop communication knowledge to keep pace with changes in technology, culture, and industry structure, as well as to bridge academia and the professional sector to jointly harness the power of media as a positive force for society.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Preeda Akkrajantachote, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University, stated that “Communication today is not merely a tool for transmitting messages, but the power to create identity, relationships, and shared experiences among people. Media has become a space of meaning, both in the real and virtual worlds, while technology such as AI is profoundly changing our behaviors and ways of life. In this context, education not only plays a role in knowledge transfer but also serves as an important mechanism for driving public agendas and creating real change. Academic collaboration should therefore occur flexibly and naturally and remain open to new partners who share the same belief in creating a sustainable society through the power of communication.”
