Chula Hosts Global Conference on Social Business Innovation (GLSBI 2025) 

The Social Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University, is organizing an international conference under the theme “Global Leadership in Social Business Innovation (GLSBI 2025)” on August 28-29, 2025, at Asia Hotel Bangkok. The conference serves as a platform for academic and innovation collaboration and connection between the academic, business, and policy sectors to drive tangible sustainable development, with Prof. Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chulalongkorn University Council Chairman, to deliver the opening remarks, and Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, Chulalongkorn University President, giving a welcome speech to the speakers and participants.

This international conference is being organized in cooperation with international partners, including the Yunus Centre, led by His Excellency Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chairman of the Advisory Council to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006, along with the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Stockholm Environment Institute, and Yunus Thailand Foundation. The conference is bringing together over 200 participants, including university administrators, academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, and network partners from both domestic and international organizations. 

The GLSBI 2025 marks a significant step in expanding collaborative networks, creating spaces for knowledge exchange, and connecting evidence-based policies to practical implementation in order to sustainably enhance social and environmental outcomes.
