Chula Researchers Honored for International Recognition 2025 

Chulalongkorn University faculty and researchers received recognition as Thai innovators and researchers with international awards on August 14, 2025, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, in the MHESI Fair 2025. Ms. Sudawan Wangsupakitkosol, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation of Thailand, gave a congratulatory address and presented the certificates of recognition to the team.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pannee Cheewinsiriwat, Assistant to Chulalongkorn University President for Research Affairs, represented the university in receiving a bouquet on behalf of the university’s faculty and researchers. These researchers have achieved international acclaim for their research and innovation in the following competitions:

The 50^th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, held on April 9-13, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland:

• “Zero-Formalin Preservative Solution for Better Cadavers: Enhancing Safety and Efficiency in Anatomical Studies” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kongkiat Srisuwatanasagul and team from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University (Silver Medal)  
• “Realistic Cow Manikin for Obstetric Training and Female Reproductive Examination” by Dr. Saritvich Panyaboriban from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University 
• “Nano-herbs periodental care spray” by Prof. Dr. Nopadon Pirarat from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University (Bronze Medal)  
• “Synthetic leather from coffee grounds” by Prof. Dr. Sirilux Poompradub from the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University (Silver Medal) 

The 36^th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2025), held on May 29–31, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia:

• “Plant-based Gluten Free Halal Egg” by Dr. Kasinee Katelakha and team from the Halal Innovation Community Learning Center (Silver Medal)  

The 18th International Invention and Innovation Show” (INTARG® 2025), held on June 3-5, 2025, in Katowice, Poland:

• “Smart test strips for determining the quality of used cooking oil” by Dr. Nadnudda Rodthongkum from the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University (Silver Medal)  

The 8^th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2025, held on June 11-13, 2025, in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China:  

• “Golden ratio of active compounds from Phyllanthus plants that inhibit inflammation in benign prostatic hyperplasia” by Prof. Dr. Suchada Sukrong and team from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University (Gold Medal & NRCT Special Award) 
• “Concentrated Methoxyflavone extract from black galingale with mechanisms to inhibit benign prostatic hyperplasia” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pasarapa Towiwat and team from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University (Gold Medal & NRCT Special Award) 
• “Religious Sites: Cellulose-Lime solution for archaeological site conservation” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanet Wongravee from the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University (Gold Medal & NRCT Special Award) 

2025 Japan Design, Idea, and Invention Expo (JDIE 2025), held on July 5-6, 2025, in Tokyo, Japan:  

• “A Novel Tongue Pressure Measurement Instrument: Chulalongkorn University Prototype Tongue Pressure Instrument (CUPTI)” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Boosana Kaboosaya from the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University (Gold Medal & NRCT Special Award) 

The 11th International Exhibition of Inventions (IEI 2025), held on August 22-24, 2025, in Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China:  

• “Smart Ageing with Aesthetics Sensitivity” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khanobbhorn Sangvanich and team from the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University
