Chula Pays Its Final Respects to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit  

On October 26, 2025, Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, together with university executives, faculty and staff members, Chulalongkorn alumni, current students, and students from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School, gathered along Phayathai Road—from Sam Yan Intersection to Pathumwan Intersection—to receive Their Majesties the King and Queen as they presided over the transfer of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, to the Grand Palace. 

Along the royal route from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, passing Phayathai Road in front of Chulalongkorn University, a large number of members of the Chulalongkorn community had gathered to line the streets to pay their respects. They did so as a gesture of deep gratitude in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother’s boundless grace and benevolence toward Chulalongkorn University and the Thai people.
