Chula Ranked No. 1 in Thailand for the 10th Consecutive Year by QS Asia University Rankings 2026 

Chulalongkorn University has been ranked the number one university in Thailand for the 10th consecutive year according to the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, which were announced on November 4, 2025. The ranking evaluated more than 1,500 universities across Asia. 

Chulalongkorn University achieved high scores in Academic Reputation, which carries the greatest weight among the indicators, as well as in International Research Network and Employer Reputation. 

The QS Asia University Rankings 2026 are based on 11 key indicators, each weighted differently, as follows: 

  • Academic Reputation – 30% 
  • Employer Reputation – 20% 
  • Faculty/Student Ratio – 10% 
  • International Research Network – 10% 
  • Citations per Paper – 10% 
  • Papers per Faculty – 5% 
  • Staff with PhD – 5% 
  • International Faculty Ratio – 2.5% 
  • International Student Ratio – 2.5% 
  • Inbound Exchange Students – 2.5% 
  • Outbound Exchange Students – 2.5%
