Chula Student Wins First Prize at the Hanika International Guitar Competition 2025 

Mr. Pachara Seehanern, a fourth-year student in Western Music Performance at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University, under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Danuchate Wisaijorn, won first prize (Virtuoso Category – 1st Prize) at the Hanika International Guitar Competition 2025, held from November 14–16, 2025, at the Thammasat Association under Royal Patronage.

Pachara received a cash prize of 30,000 THB, a Hanika Guitar Special Model for Winner valued at 12,000 Euros, and opportunities to perform at the Ayada Guitar Festival 2026 and the Phuket School of Music 2026.

The Hanika International Guitar Competition is a highly recognized international platform in Southeast Asia, known for its rigorous judging standards and prestigious international jury, attracting participants from around the world. This year’s competition was supported by Ayadaguitars in collaboration with Hanika Guitar, a leading German guitar brand.

Pachara’s achievement reflects his superb technical skills, musical interpretation, performance presentation, and dedication to continuous practice with international-level goals. It also provides important opportunities for career development, including solo concert performances, official video recordings of his works, and access to high-quality musical instruments. Most importantly, it helps build networks within the global classical music community, serving as an excellent example for younger students to develop their skills, produce high-quality work, and enhance the reputation of both the faculty and the university nationally and internationally.
