Chula–KAIST Co-host the “2025 Global Digital Innovation & Impact Hub Workshop” to Advance AI Innovation for Sustainability 

Chulalongkorn University, together with the Global IT Technology Program (ITTP) of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), co-organized the “2025 Global Digital Innovation & Impact Hub Workshop” on November 27-28, 2025, at the TIP Room, 10th Floor, Chamchuri 10 Building. This event marks a major milestone in the first collaboration between the two institutions, with a special focus on sustainable AI innovation. The workshop was attended by university executives, academics, and experts from both South Korea and Thailand.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tartat Mokkhamakkul, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University, delivered the welcome remarks, emphasizing that this collaboration reflects the shared mission of both institutions to advance AI technologies in ways that bring meaningful benefits to society.

The event was also honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Seung Hun Han, Dean of the Graduate School of Global Digital Innovation (GDI), who gave the opening speech. Other attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thiti Bovornratanaraks, Dean of the Graduate School; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kwanrat Suanpong; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kavin Asavanant, faculty members from the Department of Commerce, Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University. 

The workshop received support from various organizations in both Thailand and South Korea.

The two-day workshop was held under the theme “Sustainable AI Innovation: Leading Insights from Korea, Proven Results from Thailand,” featuring talks and knowledge-sharing sessions on AI. The event not only provided a platform for experts from the two countries to exchange in-depth perspectives but also opened opportunities for new collaborations aimed at driving AI to become a key force in enhancing society, the economy, and people’s quality of life. 

The sense of kinship and warmth found in the Chula community is priceless and a treasure worth keeping.
