VELA Program Receives Honorary Friendly Design Award 2025

The “VELA” Executive Program—Vitality Enhancement Longevity Academy (VELA)—has been honored with the Friendly Design Awards 2025 in the category of Programs Promoting an International Health Hub and Wellness Tourism. The award is presented by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, in collaboration with the Friendly Design for all Foundationand partner networks. The award was received by Professor Dr. Sathirakorn Pongpanich, Assistant to the President for Special Affairs at Chulalongkorn University and Director of the VELA Program, on behalf of the program. The presentation was made by a representative of the Minister of Tourism and Sports at the 9th Thailand Friendly Design & Tourism for All Expo, held under the theme “Equal Access for All,” on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Main Stage, Hall 101, BITEC Bangna, Bangkok.

Designed for senior executives and entrepreneurs in the health and wellness sector across the public sector, private sector, and civil society, the VELA Program equips participants with the knowledge and capabilities to strengthen organizational performance and develop health-related businesses to meet international standards of medical and service excellence. To date, the VELA Program has successfully completed three cohorts of executive training.
VELA (Vitality Enhancement Longevity Academy) is one of Thailand’s leading executive-level programs in medical and health sciences. The program focuses on advancing knowledge in longevity science to help drive Thai society toward healthy aging, longer life expectancy, and improved quality of life. Its curriculum integrates cutting-edge scientific and medical knowledge with a strong emphasis on practical application to enhance overall well-being.

The program employs a blended learning approach, offering diverse learning experiences that include keynote lectures by internationally renowned experts, leadership networking opportunities, exposure to global health and wellness innovations, and high-level discussions on emerging issues in business, law, and health-related technologies. Participants also engage in project development aimed at sustainable business growth, as well as site visits to leading innovation centers both in Thailand and abroad.
