The Chulalongkorn University Innovation Hub (CU Innovation Hub), Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with Founder Institute (FI), USA, has launched the “Empowering Innovation Businesses for Global Expansion (Go Global Startup Bootcamp): Chula – DC Silicon Startup Bridge” project to develop Thai startups for the global arena. The project orientation was held on December 18–19, 2025, with Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, presiding over the opening ceremony. Professor Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, delivered the project report on December 18, 2025, at Room 103, Chalermrajkumari 60th Anniversary Building (Chamchuri 10).
The event featured a panel discussion titled “Winning Go-to-Market Strategy for Global Scale,” with Mr. Guc Ozenci, Managing Director of Founder Institute, Washington, D.C. chapter; Mr. Chonchayong Trairatkeyoon, CEO & Founder of INCREDEBLE Juice, Inc.; and Prof. Dr. Jittima Luckanagul, Director of the Chulalongkorn University Innovation Hub.
Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, stated:
“This event enables Thai startups to step onto the global stage. The executive team of Chulalongkorn University, led by Vice President Professor Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, together with administrators overseeing innovation, has been driving Thai startups toward global competitiveness. This collaboration with Founder Institute will help Thai startups cross borders into Silicon Valley, truly connecting innovation with the global level,” adding that “Linking innovation from Chulalongkorn University is not limited to within the university or Thailand. Thailand’s role is to bring high-quality startup innovations to the global stage. This not only creates pride in our achievements but also helps generate international revenue for the country.”
Mr. Guc Ozenci, Managing Director of Founder Institute, added:
“It is a great honor to partner with Chulalongkorn University. We will work together to build an advanced tech ecosystem and connect startups to the U.S. market. With a global network of 8,000 companies, Founder Institute is ready to partner with Chulalongkorn University by providing networks, know-how, mentors, and access to capital to support startups entering new markets.”
The orientation for the “Go Global Startup Bootcamp: Chula – DC Silicon Startup Bridge” aimed to introduce and welcome 33 selected startup teams from across the country, including spin-offs from Chulalongkorn University, into a structured pathway for developing innovation-driven businesses and expanding into global markets. Two top teams will be selected to participate in DC Startup & Tech Week in the United States.
Founder Institute, headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA, is one of the world’s leading startup incubators and accelerators, with a presence in over 200 cities and a network of more than 1,000 investors worldwide. This collaboration seeks to enhance the capabilities of startup entrepreneurs grounded in Chulalongkorn University’s research, enabling them to grow to international standards while connecting with the U.S. innovation ecosystem, particularly Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C.
