Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, The Thai Red Cross Society, organized a meeting to present medical innovation projects to the National Health Security Office (NHSO) on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the conference room of the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center, Bhumisirimangalanusorn Building, 10th Floor, Zone A, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, The Thai Red Cross Society.
The meeting was led by Professor Dr. Rungsun Rerknimitr, Assistant President for Innovation at Chulalongkorn University, together with Associate Professor Dr. Pinit Kullavanijaya, Associate Professor Dr. Pradermchai Kongkam, and Associate Professor Dr. Phonthep Angsuwatcharakon, faculty members from the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, The Thai Red Cross Society. Also attending were Dr. Jadej Thammatacharee and Dr. Atthaporn Limpanyalert, Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General of the National Health Security Office.
The objective of the meeting was to present Chulalongkorn University’s medical innovations for consideration by the NHSO regarding their potential application and integration into Thailand’s healthcare service system. This is expected to lead to tangible and sustainable improvements in the quality of healthcare for the Thai population. The event featured presentations of medical innovations developed by faculty members, researchers, and partners of Chulalongkorn University, covering digital medical technology, medical devices, and healthcare service system management, including:
Receiving feedback and consideration from the NHSO is a crucial step for connecting university research and innovations to real-world healthcare services, particularly in terms of national health security policy, support for commercial development, and scaling up application at the national level. This aligns with Thailand’s strategy of driving the country forward through science, research, and innovation.
Chulalongkorn University hopes that this meeting will serve as an important starting point for translating medical innovations from knowledge into practical application within the national healthcare system through integrated collaboration among academic institutions, government agencies, and innovation-supporting organizations. The goal is to enhance the quality of medical services, improve the efficiency of the universal health coverage system, and create sustainable value for the long-term well-being of the Thai people.
