MK Restaurant Group Provides Funds for COVID-19 Research

On Thursday, 26 March 2020 at the Office of the University Council, Professor Dr. Pirom Kamolratanakul, Chairperson of the University Council, along with Professor Bundhit Eua-arporn, President of Chulalongkorn University, and Professor Dr. Yong Poovorawan, Head of Center of Excellence in Clinical Virology, Faculty of Medicine, represented the University in receiving a 3 million baht donation from MK Restaurant Group and the Auntie Thongkam MK Foundation.  The funds will help support the Center of Excellence in Clinical Virology in the research of emerging diseases in Thailand.  The repercussions of the COVID-19 outbreak and the extent of impact it has on humans makes research on this topic a necessity.    The center has plans to study the prevention and ways to stop the spread of infectious diseases.
