Chula Vet Ranked No. 1 in Thailand, Top 10 in Asia by SCImago 2026

The Faculty of Veterinary Science at Chulalongkorn University has once again brought pride to the university as it celebrates its 91st anniversary, achieving remarkable recognition in the SCImago Institutions Ranking (Sector: Universities) 2026. The faculty has been ranked No. 1 in Thailand, 9th in Asia, and 34th in the world for the strength of its Veterinary Research Integrity.
This achievement reflects the outstanding research and innovation capabilities of Chulalongkorn’s Faculty of Veterinary Science, both in terms of quantity and quality. The faculty has produced numerous publications in international academic journals, received high citation impact, and fostered extensive research and academic collaborations with global networks of scholars. These elements serve as key mechanisms for generating new knowledge and innovations that contribute to the advancement of veterinary science and society at the international level.
The SCImago ranking evaluates institutions based on three main indicators:
- Research (50%)—measuring the strength and impact of research output and citations
- Innovation (30%) – assessing innovation potential and the application of knowledge into practical use
- Societal Impact (20%) – evaluating public engagement, visibility, and influence on society
