The innovation project “AgriPreneurTH: The Farmer CEO” by Mr. Arthit Prathumpuang, an alumnus of the Executive MBA Program (Class 32), Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University, has gained international recognition by winning the Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury in the Agriculture – Horticulture – Gardening category at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, held in Geneva, Switzerland, from March 11–15, 2026. This special gold medal represents a distinguished honor awarded by the jury, reflecting the project’s outstanding quality and its ability to create value and achieve global recognition.
AgriPreneurTH: The Farmer CEO is a systemic innovation developed to address structural challenges in Thailand’s agricultural sector. Many farmers are still unable to fully capture the true value of their produce due to limitations such as price pressure from middlemen, lack of digital skills, marketing knowledge, and systematic farm management. The project aims to transform farmers from producers into entrepreneurs through the concept of “The Farmer CEO” and the U.R.D.P. Framework, which integrates upskilling, reskilling, the use of digital tools, and practical lab experiences.
The strength of this innovation lies not only in training but also in its holistic system and conceptual framework. Under the Farmer CEO model, it combines demand-driven production, zero-waste commerce, and an agri-community network. This enables farmers to better align production with market demand, increase the value of their products, and access consumers more directly. As a result, the innovation not only generates income but also empowers farmers—enhancing their ability to think strategically, plan effectively, and achieve sustainable growth at both local and national levels.
