Exhibition Hall, Art and Culture Building, Chulalongkorn University
Chulalongkorn University, through its Office of Art and Culture, has organized “The Giver” project at the Exhibition Hall of the Art and Culture Building. The exhibition is held to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and to express profound gratitude for her immeasurable benevolence toward the Thai people. Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of the Chulalongkorn University Council, presided over the opening ceremony on April 20, 2026.
At the opening ceremony held at the Art Plaza, Associate Professor Dr. Yootthana Chuppunnarat, Vice President, delivered a report while Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai expressed gratitude for Her Majesty’s boundless grace and laid a floral garland before her portrait. The Chulalongkorn Chamber Ensemble performed the royal anthem. The Chairman of the University Council then cut the ribbon to officially open the exhibition and toured it at the Exhibition Hall in the Art and Culture Building.
This exhibition features the royal composition “The Giver” by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, graciously granted for use as lyrics in a Thai classical music performance by Chulalongkorn University. It also presents selected excerpts from the book “The Queen Mother and Education,” displayed through beautifully designed and easily understandable exhibition formats.
The exhibition content highlights the royal initiatives of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, benefiting the Thai people in many areas, including education, public health, medical care, vocational promotion, and the conservation of natural resources such as forests and water.
Visitors will experience Her Majesty’s exemplary virtue of “giving,” as she devoted herself to alleviating suffering and improving the well-being of the people without discrimination. This reflects her compassion and visionary commitment to enhancing the quality of life of the Thai people, truly embodying the exhibition’s title, “The Giver.”
The exhibition “The Giver” is open to the public from March 26 to July 31, 2026, at the Exhibition Hall, Art and Culture Building, Chulalongkorn University, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on weekends and public holidays.
