Chula Makes World’s Top 100 Universities for Academic Reputation in QS World University Rankings 2021

Chulalongkorn University sets the standard as a university of innovation for society and is listed in the World’s Top 100 Universities for Academic Reputation, according to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2021. Chula’s ranking this year has turned out to be the highest rank ever received by a university in Thailand.

In the latest QS World University Rankings 2021, released on June 10, 2020, Chulalongkorn University ranked 96th globally and 1st in Thailand for its academic reputation, which reflects the trustworthy reputation from comments from 100,000 academics, entrepreneurs, and educational institutions around the world. In addition, Chulalongkorn University has secured the highest rank in Thailand for 12 consecutive years (since 2009), ranking at 46th in Asia and 208th in the world among 1,604 institutions.  The university’s 2021 ranking has jumped 39 places compared to the previous year.

The QS World University Rankings 2021 are based on six performance indicators, including Academic Reputation (40%), Employer Reputation (10%), Faculty/Student Ratio (20%), Citations per Faculty (20%), International Faculty Ratio (5%) and International Student Ratio (5%).
