CU NEX STAFF Supporting a Digital Lifestyle for CU Staff

Convenience is now just a few taps away for the CU community with CU NEX Staff – a mobile application developed by Chulalongkorn University and Kasikorn Bank. The app includes various features for staff to access the latest news, information, and services from their mobile phones, making the app a plus for both staff working in the office or from home.

Let’s find out how the CU NEX Staff app measures up in terms of response and support to a more digitized life in the views of real users who have downloaded the application since May 2020.

<< Assistant Professor Dangkamon Na-pombejra,
Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations,
Faculty of Arts

“CU NEX STAFF makes life at the university easier. It can be used to find needed information as well as handle the requirements of today’s society that needs instant information.

My favorite features are the “Chula Story”, which provides information about Chulalongkorn University, and the “Contact List”, which contains the contacts of different faculty and departments on campus. Additions I would love to see this app include are links with the CUCAS, the online course evaluations, and Registration Office’s website, so that everyone can access the registration system and fill out the grades online, without having to enter the password again.”

Dr. Nhabhat Chaimongkol >>
Lecturer, Faculty of Education

“There are issues that still need development, such as the contact list of university personnel. The information is still not accessible within one application. We still need to make a link to information outside the app. Also, I would like for the app to have separate menus, which will make it easier to use. All the information should be centralized and accessible within a single sign-on.“

<< Ms. Wichitra Prayong
Chulalongkorn University Health Service Center

“If I have no idea what to do, I think of CU NEX STAFF, the mobile application, because it has almost everything a staff needs. Two of my favorite features are “Chula Story” and “Contact List”, which are more convenient and simpler to use than the website. Another feature I would like to have is a “Chula Calendar”, which includes event schedules, important days, and public holidays.”

Ms. Sasimook Chokchai >>
Office of Human Resources Management

“This application responds well to the digital lifestyle.
My favorite feature is “My QR & Barcode” because I can scan my way into buildings or the central library, instead of using my ID card.  I also find the discount coupons in the app useful.  Something I would like to see added is a feature that allows certain personnel to access specific information.”

<< Dr. Thananon Buathong
Chulalongkorn University Social Research Institute (CUSRI)

“The most useful feature is the leave request system. We just need to fill in the application and send it in for approval.
It really suits the lifestyle for the new generation of workers. The payment feature is also interesting.  I have used CU NEX
for students before, so I would like to have special privilege discounts for staff as well.”

Mr. Naphadon Sukduang >>
Faculty of Psychology

“The CU NEX STAFF is easy to use from a smartphone.  It helps staff to quickly follow the latest news, which is faster than a computer.  It would be great and easier to find people’s contacts if the names in the “Contact List” feature are in alphabetical order, or if I could do a name search.”

<< Ms. Monsikarn Charoenphiranun
Center of Central Administration

“CU NEX STAFF opens a new dimension for staff to access services and information in the university. With this application, we don’t have to carry our staff ID and we can check our information wherever we are. The features I would like to have are a function to reserve a work out place at the Sports Center and to edit my personal information in the application.”

The “CU NEX STAFF” application is available for download on the App Store at , and the Play Store at

The mobile app features include:

– My Digital ID –works like an ID card, the digital ID can be scanned to access buildings and facilities
