Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School Students Win 3 Gold Medals, 4 Special Awards at “WGC 2026” in Japan

Chulalongkorn University extends its congratulations on the outstanding achievements of students from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Secondary School, who brought international recognition to the university by winning three gold medals and four Special Awards at the “World Genius Convention & Education Expo 2026 (WGC 2026),” held on May 7–8, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan. These awards were earned through the students’ innovative creations and remarkable talents as young innovators from the Satit Chula.

Sakolwat Chawalitapha (M.1/1) and Nichanan Songkram (M.2/7) received a Gold Medal, a trophy from the event organizers, and a Special Award from the Chinese Innovation and Invention Society (CIIS) for their project “Rice Block,” or ready-to-eat rice cubes. The innovation addresses the needs of health-conscious consumers, individuals managing their diets, and patients requiring specialized nutrition. Different varieties of herbal rice can be combined into a single meal for convenient consumption. The rice can be consumed immediately by simply opening the package.


Thamon Tumrasavin (M.1/4), Panuchaya Rerkpitakpanich (M.1/1), Alin Kritayakeerana (M.1/7), Kotchapun Tumrasavin (M.2/4), and Salil Suampan from Brighton College International School received a Gold Medal and a Special Award from the Chinese Innovation and Invention Society (CIIS) for their project “Fluopop.”



Nichanan Songkram (M.2/7) and Sakolwat Chawalitapha (M.1/1) also received a Silver Medal and a Special Award from the Chinese Innovation and Invention Society (CIIS) for their project “Money Bloom.”

The students’ success in creating innovative projects and earning recognition at this international innovation competition was made possible under the guidance of their advisors, Ajarn Pringfon Tiansri and Ajarn Jeerasak Jitrojanarak.
