Chula’s Dentistry Wins 2 Awards at the DAT-Graduate Research Competition 2026

Students and faculty members from the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, achieved national recognition by winning two awards at the DAT-Graduate Research Competition 2026, held during the 121st Academic Conference (1/2026) of the Dental Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage. The conference took place from June 17–19, 2026, at Centara Grand at CentralWorld in Bangkok.

Award-Winning Research

First Prize: Mr. Manh Cuong Hoang
Research Title: MiR-223-3p-loaded Hydroxyapatite Nanoparticles Enhance Odontogenesis and Immunomodulation in Dental Pulp
Advisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anjalee Vacharaksa
Co-advisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalida Nakalekha Limjeerajarus

First Runner-Up: Mr. Toan Van Phan
Research Title: Machine Learning-Based Cytotoxicity Grading and Prediction in the Oral Mucosa

Significance of the Achievement
This accomplishment reflects the high quality of research and the capabilities of emerging researchers from the Faculty of Dentistry at Chulalongkorn University. It also highlights the strength of the faculty’s graduate education and research programs, which aim to generate new knowledge and innovations in dentistry that can contribute to the advancement of the profession and improve oral healthcare for the public in the future.
