Chulalongkorn University, through its Office of Human Resources Management, held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on health promotion with BNH Medical Centre Co., Ltd. (BNH Hospital). The partnership aims to jointly develop health promotion services, disease prevention initiatives, and holistic wellness care for the university’s staff, their families, and Chulalongkorn students.
The event took place on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Chula Narumit House, Chulalongkorn University. The agreement was signed by Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, and Dr. Chairat Panthuraamphorn, Chief Executive Officer, Group 2, BNH Hospital, who also outlined the shared vision and collaborative approach to promoting health and well-being.
University executives attending as witnesses included:
- Professor Dr. Kanaphon Chanhom, Vice President, Chulalongkorn University
- Professor Dr. Sombat Treeprasertsuk, Vice President, Chulalongkorn University
- Associate Professor Dr. Pradermchai Kongkam, Assistant President for Planning and Budget
- Mr. Phokhai Srirattanopas, Assistant President for Human Resources
The collaboration seeks to integrate the strengths of a leading university and a premier private hospital to develop comprehensive health programs and activities. These will include health education and awareness campaigns, health screenings and risk assessments, disease prevention, preventive healthcare, and the enhancement of healthcare benefits and services tailored to the needs of Chulalongkorn staff, their families, and students.
Drawing on BNH Hospital’s longstanding expertise and experience in medical services, the partnership will also foster the exchange of knowledge, technology, and healthcare innovation. Together, the two organizations aim to develop integrated models of care covering health promotion, disease prevention, and efficient access to quality medical services.
In the next phase, Chulalongkorn University and BNH Hospital plan to expand the collaboration to include the Chulalongkorn University Health Service Center, with the goal of further strengthening medical services, health promotion, disease prevention, and holistic wellness care for staff, students, and the broader Chulalongkorn community. This expansion is expected to establish a robust and sustainable healthcare collaboration network.
The signing of the MoU marks another significant milestone in Chulalongkorn University’s efforts to create an environment that supports health and well-being. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare while enhancing quality of life and empowering the university community to contribute to the sustainable development of both the university and society.

Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, stated that the partnership extends beyond promoting health and improving healthcare benefits for university staff. It also serves as a starting point for broader collaboration in medicine, education, and the dissemination of health knowledge to the public. In the future, the partnership could be expanded to include Chulalongkorn’s faculties and units in the health sciences, jointly developing academic programs, projects, and health services that address societal needs.
“This collaboration marks a new chapter in the history of both organizations. We are not simply working together to provide healthcare services—we are working together to build better health and well-being for our staff and the wider public. In an era where artificial intelligence can perform many human tasks, what technology cannot replace is genuine care and compassion. This partnership is therefore about delivering healthcare services while also empowering people with the knowledge to care for themselves and maintain both physical and mental well-being,” Professor Wilert observed.

Dr. Chairat Panthuraamphorn, Chief Executive Officer of Group 2 at BNH Hospital, emphasized that the significance of the partnership lies in improving the health and quality of life of Chulalongkorn University’s personnel, who play a vital role in creating knowledge, educating students, and generating benefits for the public and the nation.
“BNH Hospital is honored to receive the trust of Chulalongkorn University. We recognize that caring for the university’s staff benefits far more than a single group of people—it strengthens one of the country’s leading institutions in fulfilling its mission to generate knowledge and contribute to social development. We are fully committed to providing the best possible care for Chulalongkorn’s staff and the entire university community,” said Dr. Chairat.
