Sasin and SCB Celebrate 20 Years of the Bai Po Business Awards, Unveil New Baipo Business Sustainability Awards
The Sasin School of Management of Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), recently hosted the “20 Years of the Bai Po Business Awards by Sasin” celebration, marking a major milestone with the introduction of the prestigious “Baipo Business Sustainability Awards.” The new award reflects the strength of Thai businesses that have demonstrated resilience and sustainable growth while remaining committed to long-term sustainability.
The event was attended by Mr. Apisak Tantivorawong, Chairman of the Board and Independent Director of Siam Commercial Bank PCL; Mr. Sarut Ruttanaporn, Chief Executive Officer of Siam Commercial Bank; and Segsarn Trai-Ukos, Deputy Director of the Sasin School of Management. The ceremony was recently held at the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.
Bai Po Business Awards by Sasin – Champ of the Champs
To commemorate the 20th anniversary, two outstanding former recipients of the Bai Po Business Awards by Sasin were honored with the special “Champ of the Champs” award. These organizations were recognized for their exceptional management, strong ethical leadership, sustained competitiveness, and ability to grow consistently through changing business environments.
The recipients are:
- Tropicana Oil Co., Ltd. – A global standard producer of Tropicana Oil cold-pressed coconut oil products, including skincare, haircare, and dietary supplements. The company is committed to sustainable growth throughout its entire value chain, from improving farmers’ quality of life at the source to delivering high-quality products to consumers.
- Humanica Public Company Limited—One of Southeast Asia’s leading providers of Human Resource Management Information System (HRIS) software and HR solutions. Humanica offers comprehensive services that help organizations streamline operations while supporting the digital transformation of Thai businesses.
Introducing the “Bai Po Business Sustainability Awards.”
To mark its second decade, the award program is entering a new era with the launch of the Baipo Business Sustainability Awards, aimed at raising the standard of business excellence in Thailand through sustainability.
The organizers emphasized that sustainability is no longer an option—it is the foundation of long-term growth. The new name does not replace or diminish the legacy of the original Bai Po Business Awards; rather, it expands the award’s mission to better reflect the evolving realities and future direction of the current business landscape.
Award Categories and Evaluation Criteria
Applications are now open to Thai businesses with a strong vision for sustainable growth. Companies are divided into two categories based on annual revenue:
- Businesses with annual revenue between THB 75 million and THB 500 million
- Businesses with annual revenue between THB 500 million and THB 5 billion
The new awards assess applicants across three key dimensions comprising six evaluation areas:
1. Internal Organization
- Innovation in products and services
- Corporate management
- Human resource management
2. Customer Dimension
- Marketing development
- Customer care and relationship management
3. Stakeholder Dimension
- Sustainability and positive impact on business partners, customers, employees, society, and the environment
Applications
Thai entrepreneurs wishing to demonstrate their business capabilities—or individuals wishing to nominate deserving companies—may submit applications or nominations from now until September 15, 2026.
The inaugural Baipo Business Sustainability Awards winners will be announced and honored in the first quarter of 2027.
