Chula and University of Edinburgh Explore Expanded Academic Collaboration

Associate Professor Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Vice President for Global Engagement and International Networks at Chulalongkorn University, welcomed Associate Professor Norbert Radacsi, a representative from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, during his recent visit to Chulalongkorn University. The visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions and explore opportunities to expand collaboration in education, research, student exchange, and international engagement. The meeting took place on July 7, 2026, in Meeting Room 1801, 18th Floor, 60th Anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen Mother Building (Chamchuri 10).
During the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Palanee Ammaranond presented Chulalongkorn University’s internationalization strategy, including its participation in an upcoming higher education exhibition in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Associate Professor Norbert Radacsi shared his experience in collaborating with universities across Thailand and extended an invitation for a delegation from Chulalongkorn University to visit the University of Edinburgh.
The discussions also covered opportunities for faculty-level partnerships, student exchange programs, the development of dual-degree programs, and joint research initiatives, particularly in engineering. In addition, Chulalongkorn University introduced its international academic programs and the Chula Global Youth Leadership Program 2026, which focuses on learning related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Associate Professor Norbert Radacsi expressed interest in encouraging students from the University of Edinburgh to participate in the program in the future.
Both universities reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening and expanding collaboration in research, student exchange, academic networking, and broader institutional partnerships in the years ahead.
